About Malebo Angus
Family-owned and operated
Malebo Angus is a family-owned and operated Angus stud located on Malebo Hill, overlooking Wagga Wagga, NSW. The property was originally intended to run a small commercial Angus herd into semi-retirement following the sale of other businesses, however it rapidly evolved into a stud operation due to a passion for Angus genetics and breeding technology.
The driving force behind Malebo Angus is Kerry, who has a clear love for his bulls and dedication to his product, and is supported by wife Cyn. Son Kye, daughter Harper, and Sam the kelpie make up the team.
The Malebo Angus bull breeding program focuses on producing phenotypically fit-for-purpose, structurally sound bulls with superior genetics – bulls ideal for self-replacing herds that will also provide the growth producers are after. We source elite sire genetics world-wide and individually align these with each female in our herd. All bulls kept for sale are extremely docile – a trait we pride our herd on.
The initial years of the breeding program integrated an intensive AI component, including the use of sexed semen to accelerate the genetics of the maternal herd. Our philosophy is to build a good female herd and you’ll produce good bulls – this philosophy is evident in the bulls on the ground.
Keeping a smaller herd and focusing on quality of the bulls produced enables us to provide a first-class bull at an affordable price for cattle producers. Today, a large portion of our clientele are repeat buyers which is a testament to how Malebo Angus bulls perform on-farm.
